Thinking Through OERs
I received a grant to research OERs (Open Educational Resources) during the summer of 2017. I am always fascinated by integrating tech into my classes, but the opportunity to examine OERs sold me on sharing “knowledge” from my classes outside of the four walls of our classroom. ALU’s work heavily influenced my desire to break down classroom barriers and decolonize higher education through outward facing pedagogy and the use of OERs. As a result, I decided to post my assignments on my domain and share the work of my students. As I hinted in my last post, this isn’t going to be a neat and perfect project. Rather, this will be a learning experience for me, my students, and you.
